Dave Collie

President

A visionary and gifted trainer, Dave desires to create safe and welcoming environments for people to experience the transforming power of God’s love. He received his BA in pastoral ministry and theology from Campbellsville University. His diverse experiences working in both pastoral roles and in secular management positions have provided countless opportunities to practice hospitality and cultivate relationships. Dave and his family love to travel, hike, camp, and champion people to pursue and build deep relationships with their neighbors. 

Trent Creason

Vice President

Trent has had the privilege to journey with the Collies for several years in the joyous adventure of learning, experiencing and helping others grow in the practice of hospitality.Trent currently serves as the Campus Pastor and teaches in the theology department of Campbellsville University in Kentucky. Along with his service at Campbellsville University. Trent and his wife Sarah are blessed with three amazing children. As a family, they seek to live out their mission in all they do. Beyond family and professional endeavors, the outdoors are Trent's great passion that proves to be a valuable classroom and venue for the practice of hospitality as well.

Dan Atkins

Creative Director

Born and raised in Tuolumne, California, Dan married his high school sweetheart Amanda.After graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, with a degree in Political Science, he earned his teaching credential in Social Sciences. Dan and Amanda moved to China and taught English, but eventually they returned home to Tuolumne where Dan began teaching at the local high school. Dan now lives temporarily in Kansas City and works with the International House of Prayer.  Dan and Amanda have four awesome kids, Cambria, Elijah, Solomon and Titus. Recently they started a home church and have cultivated a family with their fellow members. They are excited to see where God takes them as they multiply into more churches. Dan joined the Hospitality Matters Board because he believes in its mission and is inspired by its compassion.

Jennifer Collie

Secretary

A graduate of Belmont University with a degree in mathematics, Jen brings a spectrum of experience to the table with her work in camps, children’s ministry, teaching and writing. Jen and her husband Dave have a vision to see neighbors learning and growing together to strengthen one another. When she isn’t serving up a warm batch of chocolate chip cookies, Jen loves hiking, playing games with her kids, singing Broadway show tunes, and reading great books.

Sylvia Clarkson

Product Specialist

Sylvia is self-reliant, passionate and a go-getter. She hails from Sierra Leone, West Africa, where she received her B.A. in Sociology. She migrated to the United States with her husband in 2012 where she earned her M.B.A (concentration in Healthcare Management). Her professional experience as a banker, school coordinator and currently a homemaker have nurtured her desires to serve mankind. She loves to travel, explore different cultures and make fun memories with her family and friends. 

Zack kerzich

Media Specialist

Zack is a personable and gifted coach, teacher and photographer. Zack and his wife Brittnie have five children Nathaniel, Oliver, Norah, Maverick and Noelle. Zack attended the University of California Irvine where he discovered his passion for photography. In addition to photography, he has been a P.E teacher for the last five years and currently school athletic director. His background teaching youth and photographing ethnically diverse weddings has given him insight about how to practice hospitality and cultivate relationships with different age groups. From sports to camping to living room dance parties, the Kerzich family models how fun it can be to build relationships with the people they see day to day.

Markus and Jen Haeusser

Content Specialists

Markus and Jen have a heart to love their neighbor and their neighborhood while inspiring others to do the same. Meeting in San Francisco, they’ve been married for 10 years and now have a beautiful baby boy named Caleb. Having served with YWAM for over 20 years, they have worked with refugees, homeless, women caught in exploitation, youth, elderly and international students. Markus and Jen started a ministry called “Love Your Neighbor” in their current (and favorite) neighborhood of the city, called North Beach or “Little Italy.” Even though their focus is local, they have done teaching and speaking throughout the United States as well as Jamaica, Germany and Korea. In their free time, Jen enjoys swimming in the cold San Francisco bay; Markus likes hiking; and Caleb loves balls, balloons and bubbles.
